Notification: IBPS RRB - 2018

IBPS has finally released the notification for RRB VII for Group “A” Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Any eligible candidate who is aspiring for the Group “A” and Group “B” Officers can apply for the Common Recruitment Process for RRB-VII. The online application starts from 8th June 2018 and ends on 2nd July 2018.

The structure of the Examinations which will be conducted online are as follows:

  • Preliminary Examination (objective)*
  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship:  
A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age (As on 01.06.2018)

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)– Above 21 years – Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1978 and later than 31.05.1997 (both dates inclusive)

For Officer Scale- II (Manager)– Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1986 and later than 31.05.1997 (both dates inclusive)

For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)– Above 18 years – Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1988 and later than 31.05.2000 (both dates inclusive)

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)– Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1990 and later than 01.06.2000 (both dates inclusive)

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

Under section 34 of “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”, persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for Reservation. The reserved categories of disabilities mentioned under this Act are namely:

  1. Blindness and low vision;
  2. deaf and hard of hearing;
  3. locomotor disability including cerebral palsy. leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy;
  4. autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness;
  5. multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disability

Officer (Scale I, II & III)
– Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
– Rs. 600/- for all others

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
– Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates.
– Rs. 600/- for all others

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate

How to Apply for IBPS RRB 2018

A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. However, a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.

Candidates have to apply separately and pay fees/intimation charges separately for each post. Candidates can apply online only from 08.06.2018 to 02.07.2018 and no other mode of application will be accepted.
